The Fairytale Hairdresser and the Sugar Plum Fairy ~ Review

The FairyTale Hairdresser and the SUGAR PLUM FAIRY
By Abie Longstaff & Lauren Beard

Having previously read The Fairytale Hairdresser and the Little Mermaid, we were most pleased when we were asked if we would like to read and review the latest in The Fairytale Hairdresser series. When I opened it, Mia instantly recognised Kitty and wanted me to read her the story straight away.

"The Prince of the Land of Sweets has gone missing! Could the wicked Mouse King and Queen be to blame?"

Once again, the front cover is beautiful and sparkly which we love. It's very pretty and girly which is right up our street. All the way through the illustrations are beautiful. They're detailed, bright and colourful and have got me all excited for winter and dare I say....Christmas.

Mia loves pointing out all the "crazy hair" and she says her favourite part of the story is when the naughty mice to eat the sweetie houses. I think this would make a lovely Christmas gift.

The Fairytale Hairdresser and the Sugar Plum Fairy is out now and available to buy HERE.

Have you read any of the books from the series? What do you're little one's think of the stories?

Molly Maybe's Monsters ~ The Dappity Doofer by Kristina Stephenson {Review}

Molly Maybe's Monsters
By Kristina Stephenson

Mia was immediately taken by the front cover, it's shiny metallic cover with a hole in straight away had her asking questions. For me, I love the title, "The Dappity Doofer" , I want to know more!

Thanks to an extraordinary tree house and a marvellous magical machine, Molly and her canine sidekick are about to discover a whole underground Monster world living below them. Together they must help their new monster pal solve his crisis in Undermunder.

The book is filled with colour, imaginative names, adventure and not forgetting humour, this will leave any child eager to turn the page. It's great to hear Mia getting involved in the story and getting excited to hear more.

Mia's favourite bit was the rather amusing ending which even gave me a giggle! This has quickly become a favourite read at bedtime.

The book is written by Kristina Stephenson, who is know for creating the bestselling Sir Charlie Stinky Socks book. We haven't read these, however we will now be on the look out for them after enjoying Molly Maybe's.

If you would like to purchase the book or find out more, I will put some links below.

We were kindly sent this book to be able to write this review, all opinions are our own.

The Dinosaur That Pooped The Bed ~ Tom Fletcher & Dougie Poynter {Review}

Oh my....a new book in the Pooping Dinosaur series and we couldn't be more excited!

These books are an absolute favourite in this house, so when we were asking if we would like to review the latest in the series I didn't need to be asking twice!

This one sees Danny's dinosaur eat the mess in their bedroom instead of tidying it like Mummy had asked. Like we've learnt before, what goes into Dinosaur must come out and so it does! I've said before with these books, I love how easy it is to read and create excitement due to the rhyming. It's quick and fun, all be it a bit smelly πŸ˜‰ .

Mia's favourite bit is always when Dinosaur poos... She enjoyed pointing out all the contents of Danny's room going into Dino's belly, I feel that the next time I ask her to tidy her room there's going to be a Dino reference.

We were also very lucky to be sent The Dinosaur That Pooped A Planet Sound book. We've read the book before and loved it, but the sound bar makes an excellent addition... Even if I have had Mia pressing the "POO!" button constantly for the last hour! She loves it and is a great way to involve them in the story.

If you would like to purchase either of these I will leave the links below If you missed my previous review from the Pooping Dinosaur series i will also leave a link here.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!

My 12 Happy Months ~ A long overdue Summer addition!

I've had some time away from the computer over the summer, enjoying some family time before Mia starts preschool...tomorrow! Where have the last 3 years gone I'll never know, but I wanted to pack lots in to the summer and enjoy our time before the madness of school starts. Now as that time is quickly approaching I'd thought I'd take some time to reflect on the last 2 months and share some photographs and memories.
